One of the things I love more then anything is capturing wild cats. Unfortunately if you are like the rest of the photographers in this world (poor and starving)the only way you can do that is to visit a reserve/zoo/habitat type setting. And when that is the case; one usually ends up fighting crowds (as feeding times are the best) using camera tricks (to not show fences or bars through diffusion)and even with that sometimes you just don't get good quality shots like this one.

Svenimal's Majestic picture of "Playboy" is bar-none one of the BEST wild-cat photos I have seen, even next to my own.

With that said, there two things that are fairly small and just more "vanity" type changes that I would make.

First I don't think that your title "Playboy" is adequate enough for this photo. I do understand where your going with the title, but I feel that the lions gaze is beyond that, in fact I would have just named this photo "Majestic" or "A King's Pride" but again, names of photos are subject to the viewer's opinions and interpretation of the art. I will never fault a photo for it's title.

The next thing I would change, (and again it's a vanity change) is I would crop the photo form the bottom up (to about his paws) just a little, there is to much ledge, and clearly is man made; cropping it up would make the photo look as if you had really went out into the African plain somewhere and took this picture amongst the rocks.

On a grading scale, yeah I give you 5 stars for this amazing photo. Simple as that.

Originality is going to be hard though as we have all seen tons of wild-cat photos, though I will admit that this one truly caught my eye so I will give you 4 stars for that.

The Technique is good, you did very well in this in my opinion, with a little crop, and maybe just a bit more warmth to the photo I think it would just shine even a bit more. I feel that you definitely deserve 4 stars on that.

Impact on this picture is amazing, I saw it and immediately wanted to give it a positive Critique, that majestic look is just awe inspiring, definitely worth 5 stars. Nice work, I certainly added it to my favs! I hope to see more like it in the future! <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b…" width="15" height="15" alt=":D" title=":D (Big Grin)"/>
