Hey guys,
You may wonder where I have been the past days; I was on vacation

Together with

I visited Leipzig and Nürnberg (that is both in germany

), of cause to see the new parts of the zoo. Apart from that, there is still much work here, so I will be not that much online in the near future.
But by now I want to take you with me, to see the two new zoo-attractions I visited!

1.
Gondwanaland Tropical Hall at Leipzig Zoo:
It's a huge tropical hall with many tropical plants and animals in it. You can go around there by foot or by boat:
On the river are many birds, like these Fulvous whistling ducks:
In many enclosures you can see the exotic animals, like the Fishing-Cat:
Also many reptiles are in the hall, like the False gharial:
2.
Dolphin-Lagoon at Nürnberg Tiergarten:
Nürnberg has 6 dolphins, 4 of them ceptive bred. For these great animals they have now build a big outdoor-eclosure, named the Lagoon! By now 4 of the dolphins are in it, together with a big sealion-group. Here a overview of the lagoon. At the far right the old dolphinarium, that the animals still can use:
The animals have much fun in this new exhibit. You can see here the over 50 years old Moby
and his son Noah:
Together with the lagoon was the new tropical manatee-house built. In here are, next to three Antillean manatees, many birds, monkey, butterflies and leaf-cutting ants:
The highlight of the whole complex is the 'blue salon' where you can see the animals underwater. At the one side the dolphins and sealions
and the manatees!
Just great animals!

So much from my great holidays
