Not only is it a great shot to begin with (although I would say as a stand alone photo your attention is not immediately drawn to the foreground lion) but the animation draws focal attention and really is a pleasant surprise when looking at the shot.
Its impact is incredible and I for one will not forget this photo for a long time!
The only points I might think about for next time are adding a little more animation in the shoulder as it seems a bit static where the whole neck moves. Another point is that the rock on which the furthest away lion is on draws attention to itself as it is so light (perhaps blurring it a little more would help?) and its a shame for anyone to be looking at that and missing the amazing movement of the front lion!
Overall a fantastic piece which I think sets a mark for other cinemagraphs.
I've been watching wozy stuff for a while, and I am glad to see something new.
I like the shot, not disputing wozy skills in that. So 5 for vision.
I marked down one star cause it's not a original concept, but the animated aspect is great.
Technique dropped to 3 stars because the transition of the animated isn't as flawless as it could be, especially around the shoulders.
Impact, which I see as the 'overall' score, is a 5 because of the subject being lions. Awesome animal and overall a very stoic shot which is animated for a bonus. I like it.
This concept is quite nice. The entire gallery is epic. I just discovered it but will be a regular visitor. The pics and subjects are simply awesome and quite inspirational. Three thumbs up!
